People ask me all the time why I love the art of boudoir photography. “Don’t you feel weird about photographing other women half naked?” My answer?

Why Did I Become a Boudoir Photographer?

I became a boudoir photographer because I believe women deserve to see themselves as powerful, beautiful, and whole. This work isn’t about shock value or exposure, it’s about helping you reconnect with your confidence and recognize the strength that’s always been there.

This is not about ME. This is about what I do for THEM. I am a talented photographer THEY hire. Don’t make it weird.

Photographers will often say they’re passionate about capturing beauty, and yeah, that’s true. But for me, it’s more than that. Boudoir isn’t just about pretty pictures. It’s about helping you see yourself again.

I love this work because I get to remind women what’s been there all along. That spark. That strength. That softness. It’s easy to forget what you really look like when life piles on. But remember being five years old, spinning in a brand new dress like you owned the world? That confidence is still in there. We just have to dust it off.

Boudoir gives you the chance to reconnect with your body and your spirit, no matter your shape, size, or how long it’s been since you really looked at yourself and smiled.

One of my favorite parts of any shoot is showing a little sneak peek on the back of my camera. That second when you gasp and ask, “Wait… that’s me?” I’ve seen the tears, the giggles, the “holy crap” moments. That’s the magic right there.

This isn’t just about making art. It’s about taking all that fear and vulnerability you walked in with and helping you leave feeling like you could take on the world. I’ve watched clients toss their hair and strut out of my studio like they were headed straight for a runway. And I think to myself, yep, nailed it.

That’s what keeps me coming back. That’s my why.
